Camping Accessories

When looking to buy camping accessories (toaster forks, waterproof matches, stuff sacks, walking sticks, mess kits, etc.), what can I buy that is going to last me (at least for the season)? I figure camping accessories are just an impulse buy (they are for me anyways), but I am wondering the best bet for the money. Here is what I have seen out there:
- Coghlan's
- Coleman
- Texsport
- Ozark Trail
- Northwest Territory
I have bought different items from different brands, some good some bad, and I didn't know if there was one that I should really stick to? Thanks in advance.

Short answer, Coleman. Why, because just about everything I have bought from them gets a good warranty, and if its a small item, it usually is more reliable than other brands. I bought a three foot camping fork from them 3 years ago, and their products are everywhere. Mot small items for camping do break quick or do not last long fro whatever reason, but coleman's stuff will last longer than most, even the small things.
However, I have noticed that there are some things that coleman doesn't make or they overcharge for (it will still be a reliable product). Ozark trail makes a really cool wind resistant lighter and a waterproof bag which work just fine. Northwest territory "which has zero customer support", makes some great tents, but I cannot speak to how great their smaller items are having never seen many. Coghlan's and Texasport, in my experiences, make poor products. Maybe others have had better luck, if so cool for you, but I have bought a lantern lighter, a propane tree, and a small stand from these two companies and will not buy camping accessories from them unless I really want something and no one else makes it. Overall if you are looking to save money, you can easy buy some cheaper brand stuff, but if you want something that should last go with Coleman.

Thank you for the input. I through Coleman as well, but was afraid of paying too much for accessories. But you get what you pay for and I am sure Coleman will last longer.

my vote goes to coleman. mainly because i am in the same state as they are. if you are ever in kansas visit the coleman plant, they have a cool museum and a little outlet store.

Coleman is good for light camping.
If you are looking for a little rough and tumble kind of stuff - go with CampChef.

Coleman is cheap junk, they are living off the reputation of their fine lanterns and stoves by selling other gear. I do like their polycarbonite silverware set, strong and light (a winner!). GSI and MSR are the companies to buy from if you're looking for something other than "disposable" camping gear.
