Standard tent stake that  come with tents are often cheap and need to be replaced so  I thought I would share this website that sells a new kind of tent stake:

There are videos on the site demonstrating it being used and even pounded into a 2x4.  It won't bend or rust and the head doesn't mushroom when you pound it into the ground (using whatever you have available!).  You can also twist it with an upward motion and back it out using your hand or a tool.

thats not a bad price $15 for 6 of them. couldn't find what shipping would cost though, I myself make my own with rebar and bend one end over after heating it, a little overkill yes.

We've got 3 sets of stakes.  One for sand, one for hard ground, and another for rocky soil.
